Event Details

Join us as we welcome actor Isaiah Washington to Chicago for "Water for Everyone: Empowering African Villages," an evening inspired out of respect for ancestral ties and the spirit of giving back to those most in need. Money raised will enable Washington's Gondobay Manga Foundation to install water filtration systems in poor villages in Sierra Leone that are exposed to unsafe, undrinkable water. Guests will enjoy South a variety of wines , appetizers, desserts and prize drawings, including a chance to win a cruise vacation.

The Gondobay Manga Foundation, inspired by the founder, actor and philanthropist Isaiah Washington's discovery of his genetic link to the Mende people provides funding for educational and economic opportunities in poor rural areas of Sierra Leone.

Sponsored by: 220 Communications, Treetop Consulting,  The Dinizulu Law Group, The League of Black Women.
